Cleopatra's Island has one of the most special beaches in the world wide. On Cleopatra Island ( Sedir Adasi ) is the ruins of the ancient Cedreae dating from Helenestic and Roman times. The island is covered by olive groves and brush, in the small cove to the northwest is a beach where according to a local story Cleopatra bathed. This amazing place is famous beaches for its beach made from seashells. The sand is unlike you have ever touched before. This organic sand was brought by ships from the Red Sea especially for Cleopatra. Each grain of sand is a perfect sphere, so the beach is heavily protected by the government to prevent any sand being removed from this beach.

The Marmara Beaches are not the greatest in the world but are more than adequate for children and adults alike. The sand is black and a bit gritty. These beaches are not very wide and the top half is covered in sunbeds and umbrellas which you can rent for a nominal fee if the restaurants/hotels dont provide them. Icmeler is in the south west of Turkey, just far an hour to the west of Dalaman International Airport. Icmeler is set on the southern side of a large bay across from Marmaris and it is surrounded by rocky, forested foothills that drop quite steeply down to the coast. Icmeler was once just an extension of Marmaris but is now a holiday destination in its own right. The town has managed to hang onto much of its traditional Turkish character with narrow streets, whitepainted buildings, set around a mosque. Behind the I�meler beach and along the promenade are beach restaurants, cafes and shops. Further back are hotels, charming public gardens and children�s play areas. Transfer from Dalaman airport to Icmeler is 2 hours. Icmeler beach is a mixture of different sand. Here is best choice for watersports including windsurfing and jet skis. This, together with calm waters and a gently shelving beach make Icmeler especially suitable for family holidays and honeymoon. The view out to sea from Icmeler beach is stunning with islands in the distance rising out of the warm blue waters of the Mediterranean.
